The Saint Thomas Christians or Mar Thoma Christians are a group of Christians from the Malabar coast (now Kerala) in South India that follows the tradition of conversion to Christianity by St. Thomas the Apostle. The different groups and denominations within the St Thomas Christians together form the Nasrani people , who also follow Syriac Christianity traditions. The tradition goes back to the very beginning of first century Christian thought, and the seven churches that are believed to have been established by St. Thomas the Apostle in 52 AD.

His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan
Mar Theodosius studied at Baselious College, Kottayam (1966) and Mar Thoma College, Thiruvalla (1969). After taking a degree in Science he joined Leonard Theological College and took BD Degree in 1972. His ordination as ‘Kasseesa‘ was in the year February 24, 1973.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa
Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa ( Rev. Dr. K.U.Abraham) was born on 16th August 1953 as the son of Kanjirathara KC Uthuppu and Sosamma of Kottayam Manganam St. Peters Mar Thoma Parish. He completed school education from Muttampalam Govt. LP School and Kottayam MT Seminary High School. College education was done in CMS college and Baselios College of Kottayam. Theological study was done in Kottayam Mar Thoma Theological Seminary.

Let us enter the new month with gratitude for the ways God has led us through the ages. As the year draws to a close, we find ourselves moving from the season of thanksgiving into the season of anticipation.

Dearly beloved in Christ, This month’s lectionary themes are reminding us of many events. One is that we celebrate World Sunday School Day. Let us thank God for the ministry of Sunday School. Especially for our children to learn more about the Word of God, as well as equip them to follow God throughout their lives. Our challenge should be to not enable only one hour per week of Sunday School, but even in everyday life, we should teach the children how to live to love and fear God.
